“I’ll pledge my loyalty to you through a blood oath, if you’ll support my choice of mate.”

Drew sank into his chair. “What does Rebecca have to say? The last time I spoke to her, she didn’t mention you.”

Blaine smiled. He hadn’t earned himself any favors. “She doesn’t know yet.”

Thirteen years ago Rebecca Ferguson died, at least to everyone in the Black Hills territory. With a human mother and unable to shift into a wolf, Magnum Tao, the deranged alpha of the Tao Pack would’ve had both her and her father killed for deceiving him. Magnum didn’t allow humans to mate with members of his pack.

Now Magnum is the one who’s dead and Rebecca can return.

But coming back from the dead, building a new life after her divorce and opening a library in town isn’t the only obstacles Rebecca faces. Elijah, her father, doesn’t approve of her being in Los Lobos to the point where he forbids her to get involved with the pack, especially the males.

Their relationship has suffered because of her absence and she hopes to bridge the divide; confident that she doesn’t want a romantic entanglement with anyone human or wolf, anyway.

In walks sexy private detective Blaine Walker.

Thirteen years ago Blaine stumbled on his mate at the local Swimming Hole. The next day, she was dead. Once he learns Rebecca is alive and living in Los Lobos, he decides it’s time to give up his career in Brooklyn and return to Black Hills. But he knows it won’t be easy to claim her since Elijah’s unnaturally overprotective. The only way Elijah will back off is to challenge him.

A challenge that will end in one of their deaths.

Rebecca can’t deny the old attraction she felt for Blaine is still there and even stronger now that they are grownup. She’s caught between the man fate has brought back to her and her father, whose affection she craved her whole life.

But there’s a life altering secret governing Elijah’s erratic behavior that can cost Rebecca everything she’s worked hard to build and everything she thought she could never have with a man or wolf.

Will Rebecca and Blaine beat the odds stacked against them?

Or will the choices they make ultimately lead them down a path both of them don’t want?

Guest Blogger Crystal Review:
A chance meeting as a teenager and Blaine finds his mate only to have fate rip her from
his life the next day. Convinced his mate has died, Blaine leaves the pack to start his
life away from his former home and the mate his lost.

Rebecca has a secret that threatens her life under the mad alpha's reign. The only way
to save her life is to fake her death and go into hiding. For a chance at living, Rebecca

Both Blaine and Rebecca start separate lives away from the pack and separate from each
other. As adults, neither one is happy in the non shifter world. When the previous alpha
passes away, his progressive son Drew claims his place as alpha of the Tao Pack.
Missing her father, Rebecca makes the decision to return to her former home and open a
library. Her father still fears for her safety and wants nothing more than Rebecca far
away from the Black Hills and the pack.

Finding out his mate is in fact alive, Blaine leaves everything behind and seeks Rebecca
so his wolf can finally claim his mate. Neither Blaine nor Rebecca are the same people who
met years ago, but Blaine can no longer wait to claim the girl who stole his heart. Can
Blaine once again find his place in the pack he left behind or will Rebecca's protective
father get his way and send his daughter back to the human world?

With secrets and years that have separated them, can the mates come back together or will
fate once again succeed in tearing them apart?

A sweet love story with characters you will love and that will leaving you wanting more,
my first read by Inge Saunders was a five star read. I'll definitely be checking out more

of her books to see what happens between the rest of the pack under Drew's leadership.

5 Stars!

“I’ll pledge my loyalty to you through a blood oath, if you’ll support my choice of mate.”

Drew’s eyebrows went up. Ryker, true to form, didn’t blink an eye.

“Why would you need my support?”

“It’s Rebecca Ferguson.”

Ryker straightened, taking on a solid stance next to Drew. The discussion wasn’t a threat to the alpha in any way.

“Her father won’t allow it.”

“I know.”

“He’s alpha of his household.”

“I know.”

“Are you going to challenge him?”

“If I have to.”

“And you want me to sanction it.”

Drew sank into his chair. “What does Rebecca have to say? The last time I spoke to her, she didn’t mention you.”

Blaine smiled. He hadn’t earned himself any favors. “She doesn’t know yet.”

“You expect me to support your claim without her being aware of it?”

“You expect me to swear a blood oath to you without assurance whether or not you’ll turn into your father.”

The menacing growl from Ryker vibrated through the room.

“You’re playing a dangerous game, Blaine.”

“All of us have done it for our mates.” He stared from one to the other.

News traveled through the wolf-grapevine. Drew’d had to gain his mate, Betty’s, trust when he returned to Los Lobos after she believed the lies his father told about him. Ryker had overstepped their laws by mating a human, something the old alpha would’ve killed him for. But Drew didn’t seem to have a problem with humans becoming part of the Tao pack.

“Elijah isn’t going to hand over Rebecca to you. He went to extreme measures to keep her safe.” Drew sat forward again. “Even with the new order, he’s still protective of her.”

Blaine didn’t budge. He knew what he wanted. And he rarely lost.

House of Glass by Lyn Forrester

House of Glass
By Lynn Forrester
Poisoned House Book 1
Reverse Harem

After Caitlyn's life falls apart, can she trust her old racing competitors to help her build a new future?

On a poisonous planet, humans and halions coexist in stacked city structures with only a high wall to push back the toxic jungle. But not all poison comes from outside. As an elite, Level 12 citizen and the daughter of a ruling family, Caitlyn has fought her entire life to not follow in her father’s footsteps.

When her secret identity as Sparks, a low-level disc-bike racer, is discovered, her father ships her off to the Academia for Planetary Alliance to turn her into a proper politician. Determined to toe the line until she can escape, Caitlyn’s plans are once again thrown off balance when she meets her new classmates, Declan and twin brothers, Felix and Connor—three men who know her and are determined to become a team.

“Yeah, this year will be great!” a male voice shouts from behind me.

Startled, I twist around and slip. My heart thunders in my chest as my feet leave the ground. Free falling, I fling my arms out, desperate for something to anchor me.

“Whoa, there.” A warm arm encircles my waist, catches me against a warm chest. “Be careful. Those heels are dangerous.”

I glance up into golden-brown eyes, surrounded by a thick fringe of lashes. Heavy, dark brown eyebrows slant upward as his mouth curves into a grin. My pulse pounds harder, now that I'm safe.

“Thank you.” A blush stains my cheeks, and I curse the translucent skin that came with my red hair.

“That's some heartbeat you have there.” He sets me on my feet but keeps a hand on my back as if worried I'll fall again. The heat of his palm sinks through my light sweater, burning its way into my flesh.

“Thank you.” I shake myself and stammer, “For catching me. Falling hurts.”

“Yeah, I know the feeling.” His gravely voice rumbles inside his chest.

I frown, the sound pinging in my memory.

“Nice catch, dude,” the same guy from earlier calls. A shaggy, black haired head pops over my rescuer's shoulder. Grass-green eyes rake over me, a smirk twisting the corner of his mouth. “Seriously, nice catch.”

“Stop it, you'll creep her out.” Another guy appears, black hair combed away from his face. Through a pair of wire-rimmed glasses, his serious green eyes glance over me. Tall and slender, the white button down school shirt hugs his body to accentuate the narrowness of his hips. “Forgive my brother, he has no manners.”

As my eyes shift between the two brothers, the first one stands straighter, moving away from his brown-haired friend. He pushes the black hair back from his face and turns to him. “Trust me, she's not creeped out, bro.”

“More like creeped *on*.” His brother glances at him, and they have the same straight-nosed profile, the same jawline.

“Twins.” I look back at my rescuer.

His smile broadens, hand tightening on my waist. “Nice to finally see your face, Sparks.”

Space Coast Book Lovers Featured Author Ava Wood

Our second author of the day is Ava Wood

Thanks Ava, for joining us today! We are excited to learn more about you!
Let's start with an easy question!

What genres do you write?

I write Contemporary Romance, Young Adult Contemporary, and I’m currently working on a Young Adult Sci Fi with J Laslie.
Out of all your characters who was the hardest and who was the easiest to write?

The hardest to write would probably be Missy from my Young Adult series. She went through so much during her trilogy and had to learn and grow throughout. And I think I put off finishing that series, because I didn’t want to say goodbye. After three books with her, she made a place for herself in my heart. The easiest would have to be Anna from my current WIP, Irreplaceable. I took so much of her from me that her personality and her story really flowed.

Do you tell your characters how the story is going to go or do they take over and you just listen?
My characters definitely take over and do their own thing. In fact, I had one character who I’d planned would come in and save the day, but she ended up being downright evil. The worst part is that they want their story told at the most inopportune times, like during family gatherings or while I’m trying to go to sleep. It’s very inconvenient. LOL.
At SCBL what book will be your newest release?

I’m hoping to have Irreplaceable, a Contemporary Romance available when I attend SCBL, but currently my newest release is Remnants of Yesterday, the final book in my Young Adult trilogy.

Where is the best place for attendees to find you during the con?
Most definitely, the best place to find me is at the book signing. I’ll actually be in one spot instead of flitting about!

Time to introduce Ava:
Ava Wood is an insomniac who writes to calm the voices. When the voices get too loud, stories are formed.

Ava was born and raised in Texas but got to Florida as quick as she could, enjoying the fresh sea air and summer storms. She believes there is nothing more beautiful than an evening summer light show.

She’s married to the love of her life whom she shares two beautiful daughters and four sweet fur babies. Their marriage is the perfect “North-meets-South” pairing.

When she’s not writing, Ava can be found chasing her children all over the county, snapping photos of any and everything, visiting one of her local theme parks, or just spending quality time with her family.

Ava is making the rounds!

After six years as an escort, Landon Havens thinks he's see - and done - it all. But none of his experience has prepared him for the little vixen that is dropped in his lap. So sexy and stubborn, she awakens something inside of him. Something that makes him question the life he's chosen. But can their love survive their secrets?

ONly 99cents!
Forgetting Yesterday (Broken by the Sea Book 1)

Missy Shaw thought she had her life planned out perfectly; do well in school, take her basketball team to state, and get a free ride to college. Her life wasn’t perfect, but it was constant. With her best friend Karley at her side, she could handle anything.

After the death of her mother, however, her dad had other plans. Moving Missy from everything she knew in Kansas to the great unknown created a new set of problems. Attending a new school, all she really wanted was to be invisible, but that simple feat proved difficult when she has a run-in with the school’s basketball star, Adam Miller, on her very first day.

Adam Miller is every girls dream; charming, sweet, and gorgeous. And for some reason he’s very interested in Missy. His attentiveness is unnerving as Missy does everything in her power to evade his interest. Living with secrets she’s not willing to share, Missy works to push Adam away in order to keep her family safe. But will keeping secrets really keep her safe?

Return to Yesterday (Broken by the Sea Book 2)

After Adam Miller walked out of Missy Shaw’s life her junior year, she thought her world had ended. With her father’s relentless drinking and Missy’s numerous empty relationships, she’s learned to live her life as a hollow shell. Never feeling seems a whole lot easier than opening herself up to the emotions that tear her apart. She’s made a comfortable life for herself, going to school, working, and spending her lonely nights in the arms of her co-worker, Marco.

Everything is going just the way she likes until graduation nears and Adam waltzes back into town on the arm of Lindsay Dumont. With a single look, all her feelings for him come flooding back and being hollow suddenly isn’t so easy. His return opens up old wounds that Missy fears may never heal. Scars she’s fought so hard to bury deep inside. When all of her old memories dangle in front of her, she’s forced to find a way to bury her feelings for Adam while holding onto what’s left of her heart.

Remnants of Yesterday (Book 3)

Missy Shaw has lived through her fair share of heartache and abuse, mostly at the hands of her own father. After finally taking a stand against her abusers, Missy is faced with a new dilemma when her father unexpectedly falls ill. Longing to take care of the man who’s never really been a father to her, she’s forced to make a difficult decision that could cause a cataclysmic collision with her past and her future.

Now that Adam Miller was a major fixture in Missy’s life, making those hard decisions shouldn’t be so difficult, but when Missy heads to Tampa for college and Adam returns to Kansas, she’s left feeling vulnerable and alone. Moving forward is harder than she imagined when the demons from her past continue to haunt her.

In this gripping finale to the Broken by the Sea trilogy, find out if Missy is finally able to find her happy ending, or if the demons of her past become the nightmares of her future.
